10th Annual Night Glow 5K to support the Children’s Learning Center is coming up June 9th.

It’s one of the events we look forward to most throughout the year – the annual Night GLOW 5K run/walk fundraiser! Perhaps it’s the promotion of physical fitness that we love. Perhaps it’s the cool night air lit up by the glow of neon in the dark. Or, perhaps it’s because it benefits an organization that’s near and dear to our hearts.

What Is the Children’s Learning Center?

The Children’s Learning Center (CLC) is a non-profit charity that works closely with children who have special needs or developmental delays. They support children from birth through six years of age in the Lake of the Ozarks area. All of the programs are inclusive for children of all skill levels, making it a uniquely supportive environment.

This organization holds a soft spot in our hearts at McGrath Insurance Group. We know so many children that have been helped by this organization and are so thankful to have the amazing services in our community.  On a personal level, Patrick McGrath’s son Mark has had to undergo many heart surgeries and has benefited greatly from the specialized physical therapy programs offered through the CLC.

Although the CLC receives funding through a variety of sources, their fundraisers like the 10th Annual Night GLOW 5K are an important event for their success.

How You Can Be a Part of the Fun-Filled Evening

The race is June 9th at 6:30pm at Camdenton High School.  Over 375 people show up each year to show their support and admiration for the work being done at the CLC. Participants are encouraged to wear neon and glow-in-the-dark gear to light the night as we make our way through the 5k course.

The race is perfect for families. Before and after you run the course, you’ll be met with music, a photo booth where you can print out a souvenir photo strip, and other fun family-friendly activities. On your run, you’ll encounter several stations where you’ll feel encouraged and motivated to keep going. The entire time, the coordinators promote the glow-in-the-dark theme to make the race enjoyable for all ages.

There is n still time to register for the 10th Annual Night GLOW 5K! It’s $30 for individuals or $25 for a team of 4 or more.
