The Laker Boosters are putting on the 31st Annual Laker Invitational Golf Classic. Will you join us in participating?
A beautiful Missouri afternoon on the golf course surrounded by people who are eager to give back to Camdenton youth. Sounds delightful, doesn’t it? That’s why on September 4, 2017, we’re joining the Laker Boosters in raising money for a good cause while enjoying what’s sure to be Chamber of Commerce weather on the green.
Why Play a Round of Golf at This Tournament?
With the myriad of stunning golf courses around Missouri, you’re able to take your pick of where to play a round of golf with your closest friends and colleagues. So why this tournament?
At McGrath Insurance Group, we’re excited to be a major sponsor of the 31st annual Laker Invitational Golf Classic because it benefits our youth and encourages them to get moving. We invite you to join us as we raise money alongside the Laker Boosters for the Camdenton R3 student athletes, the Laker Marching Band, youth sports programs, and other sports and activities for kids of all age groups, K-12.
The money raised at this tournament will go directly to the Laker Athletic Boosters, Inc., which is a tax exempt, non-profit organization. The Boosters support the Camdenton R3 School District student athletes by providing necessities for sports, including equipment, facilities, special programs, and improvements.
Details About the Laker Invitational Golf Classic
Over the past 30-years, the Laker Boosters have used this golf tournament to raise over $875,000 from 1987 – 2017 for student athletes in Camdenton.
This year’s tournament will kick off with a registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m. followed by the tournament’s tee off at 1:00 p.m. It’ll take place at the Tan-Tar-A Resort, which is home to one of Missouri’s most attractive courses.
Entry to play is $125 per player and includes lunch, golf, tee gifts, and beverages. The tournament is a Las Vegas Scramble. Each 4-person team will have two, two-person scramble teams. The best scramble scores on each hole will be taken. You can either enter your own 4-person team or have the committee pair you. Final scores will be flighted and prizes awarded in each flight.
There will also be a Hole in One prize on one of the holes. Hulett Chevrolet – Buick – GMC in Camdenton is donating a 2014 new Chevrolet for that hole.
We’re looking forward to spending the afternoon supporting Camdenton R3’s student athletes and hope to see you involved too. For details, contact John Blair at (573) 346-2235.
