We’re so proud of all the accomplishments our employees, and their families, achieve! We recently shared a fun article on the blog about Brice Kimbler, who won the 2016 Mr. Dogwood pageant. Today, we’ll turn our focus to Jesse Linton, whose recent achievement is in a completely different area – sports!
Jesse Linton is the son of Amy Linton, a longtime McGrath Insurance employee and beloved customer care representative. Jesse is the first baseman on Macks Creek High School’s baseball team. He’s a Junior and has been playing baseball for the team for three years – getting letterman status each year! It’s been a very successful career so far, which his parents credit to a solid foundation in the sport from a young age. Jesse got his start in Little League, and refined his baseball skills with countless hours of practice before making it on the Macks Creek High School team.
With Jesse’s help, the Macks Creek High School team gave their coach his first district title and the school’s first since 1998.
But Jesse isn’t the only Macks Creek High School team member with an association with McGrath Insurance! Longtime customers Paul and Bonnie Gould have a grandson on the team Matt Hicks, and commercial customer Fairfax Thompson owner of Thompson Construction, LLC has a son on the team too, Hunter. Way to go Jesse, Matt, and Hunter!!! Don’t you love how small the world really is? We love all of our connections to the local community.
What does the future hold for Jesse? He’s still got a year left at Macks Creek High School as a Senior. Will Jesse continue to pursue sports once he graduates? Most likely not, according to Amy, but nothing is set in stone! At any rate, the future is bright and we’ll be excited to see where he ends up.
